“Doll Artists aim to produce dolls which are the mirror of their souls. A doll produced with this intention is never a cold and lifeless object. It may show mistakes and defects in proportion and workmanship, but it “lives.”

I like living. I have sometimes been wildly, despairingly, acutely miserable, racked with sorrow, but through it all I still know quite certainly that just to be alive is a grand thing.
Agatha Christie
I need fabrics for the dolls.
Unfortunately we don’t have them here, i’ve been using what i find, but white skin for dolls only works if they are Snow White or Severus Snape!
What i could find skin colored it’s totally unappropriated for doll making. Miss Marple still doesn’t have hands, because after sewing 3 pairs of hands i finally had to give up.
I will have to make a pair of gloves and use them instead of hands.
It will work fine but still…
Here http://www.dollmakersjourney.com/fabrics.html at Doll makers Journey they have all i need but i don’t understand shit about yards and inches…we use a different scale.
How much is 250 yds at $2,50? Is it too expensive? A lot of fabric, not really?
I understand meters and centimeters! *sigh*
And i’m still learning, buying online is a nightmare because i can’t touch the fabric, so i will have to read everything all over again and see which fabrics the artists use, so i can order the same! ARGH!
Anyway, Flapper doll is coming along. 3 days just for the dress, but i think it’s pretty!Maybe i will start her head and face today!
Awww! I’m here.
And for the fun of it and because this is my dolls new home i am posting my favorite.
Aemilia
She was made from Francesca’s  pattern by Rivkah Mizrahi at http://dollmakersmuse.blogspot.com/.
Upset!
Yesterday my friend Ana took some pictures of the dolls and i was making Ballerina girl for her birthday.
But she is absolutely in love with the doll i made for Juno
So now i have a big problem!
I will have to start all over again! Meh.
She loves the 20’s Flapper look, and i thought it would be a good idea to make her a Flapper doll, but i can’t find a dress ,that is easy to make and without spending a lot of money!
But…look what i found,it’s a Lois Boncer doll project, and i am in awe!
